This Is Not a Romantic Comedy — By Marina Nicolau and Pau Pascual

Teatre Principal — Sala Petita - Multipurpose, Carrer de la Riera, 2, 07003 Palma, Balearic Islands

A romantic comedy that shuns clichés to talk about pain, healing and love.

An airport, a storm and two strangers who happen to sit together. Through flashbacks, intimate confessions and surreal conversations, they will revisit the wounds, failures and contradictions of love until they discover that sometimes, in order to love again, you need to take a leap of faith.

This production draws on the formal structures of romantic comedy to go much further, addressing not only the emotional dynamics of a couple, but also the housing crisis, power relations and mass tourism.

A co-production by Teatre Principal and El Somni Produccions
