Deimos, a voice - Mai Moren

Teatre Municipal Maruja Alfaro Mar i Terra

Death left the island of Deimos shortly before Laia was born and, ever since, its inhabitants have lived forever, dragging themselves through an eternal life. A few years later, it was Laia’s mother who left her. Now she is a teenager and needs answers: she wants to know why her mother left her completely alone, where she went and where she is hiding, if it is impossible either to leave the island or to die there. So Laia will set out on a journey into the unknown, in search of answers.

Deimos, a voice breathes the air of myth, echoing like a legend whispered in one’s ear. It is a thoroughly modern story with a classical flavour about the absence of a mother, about silences and unanswered questions, about the need for an ending and the desire to understand.
