OCM Season 27 - New Year’s Concert

Some traditions are the perfect way to start the year!

Like nougat at Christmas, the New Year’s Concert returns to the Teatre Principal d’Inca, opening the 2027 Season of the Mallorca Chamber Orchestra.

Let yourself be carried away by the waltzes and polkas of the Strauss family and other composers, and experience the spirit of Vienna from Mallorca. A celebration full of rhythm, elegance and joy to welcome 2027 with the best energy.

This year, for the first time in our New Year’s Concert, we will also perform a work by a female composer: Mel Bonis’s Scherzo-valse (1858–1937). On this special occasion, we also want to call for the music of women composers who have been kept in the shadows to be rediscovered and championed, helping to give them the place they deserve on the stages.

At the end of the concert, we will invite you to a glass of cava to raise a toast together to the new year.
