Putting on “La bella Helena” — Based on Jacques Offenbach’s operetta
- Palma

Teatre Principal — Sala Gran, Carrer de la Riera, 2, 07003 Palma, Balearic Islands
A group of young theatre-makers, nostalgic and dreamers, determined to break with the prevailing logic of “modernity”.
A purpose as delirious as it is passionate: to bring La bella Helena back to the stage, as the “sharpshooters” of Teatre Lliure did in 1979.
After dissecting millennial identity last season, the unbuttoned humour of Miquel Mas Fiol’s neovarieties returns with a show about the power of collective work and the unreliable companionship of nostalgia. An act of love for the theatrical craft, away from followers and flashes, and a recognition of the rebellious spirit that stubbornly drives us to keep making theatre.
A coproduction of Teatre Lliure and Teatre Principal de Palma
