The Nit de les Ànimes is approaching, and we are getting ready with the Fundació Mallorca Literària talk “Let’s Talk: Celebrating Life and Death”, given by anthropologist Francesc Alemany Sureda, to reflect on death beyond taboo and explore its more collective, cathartic and even festive dimension. We will review the importance of All Saints’ Day and the Day of the Dead in Mallorca, and compare these funeral rites with those of other cultures around the world.
