An original take on Shakespeare’s classic, exploring questions of origin and the past.

Andrea Jiménez investigates the intersections between fiction and reality, theatre and performance in this irreverent adaptation of William Shakespeare’s King Lear, in which she will direct a guest actor live, specially invited for the occasion, in the role of Lear. Andrea thus creates a meeting space with an entire generation of actors and men to reflect on fatherhood, love and forgiveness, in a theatrical exercise that is as brave as it is playful.

This production has received the 2025 MAX Award for Best Production and the MAX Award for Best Adaptation or Version of a Play.
