Bambi. A Life in the Forest (Based on the novel by Felix Salten)
- Inca

Teatre Principal d'Inca — Main Hall, Carrer del Teatre, 10, 07300 Inca, Balearic Islands
An immersive experience to discover Bambi’s forest from within
Much more than an adaptation of Felix Salten’s classic, Bambi. A Life in the Forest is a delicate theatrical experience that invites children and adults to rediscover one of the great stories about growing up, nature and human connections. Through the eyes of the young roe deer, the show explores the discovery of the world, friendship, love, loss and the passage of time, turning the forest into a reflection of life itself.
The production combines puppet and object theatre, dance, music and audiovisuals to create a poetic, sensory universe in which words give way to images, movement and emotion. Featuring a performance of great delicacy by Alba Vergne LĂłpez, winner of the 2026 FETEN Award for Best Performance, the show creates a theatrical language capable of captivating both children and adults.
The performance will take place on the stage of the Teatre Principal itself, in an intimate format with limited capacity that allows the magic of the show to be experienced at close range. This arrangement makes the audience another inhabitant of the forest and reinforces the intimate nature of a production designed to be enjoyed as a family.
Inspired by Felix Salten’s original novel —much deeper and more philosophical than the popular film adaptation—, Bambi. A Life in the Forest recovers the essence of a universal story that continues to move audiences from one generation to the next.
This production has been made possible thanks to the support of the Platea 2026 Programme of the Instituto Nacional de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música (INAEM), of which the Teatre Principal d’Inca is a member.
