A MARRIAGE WITHOUT FILTERS — Marta Hazas and Javier Veiga

MARGA and JAIME are going to separate after 15 years of marriage. Through tears and reproaches, they take comfort in knowing that, since they have no children or pets, and not even a car in common, they can simply leave, slamming the door with a classic: “I don’t want anything of yours anymore.” But there is one small detail they had overlooked. You need a door to slam. And that door belongs to a house. And that house… is the home they share!

Marga and Jaime are ready to rebuild their lives separately, but both believe THE HOUSE belongs to them. Neither of them wants to leave the flat that was their home. And this mutual disagreement does not look as though it will be resolved through an amicable separation.

They begin airing their dirty laundry and blaming each other for the failure of their relationship. They both reach the same conclusion: the one most responsible for their divorce should leave the house. And now the real war is about to begin. They are both going to pull out all the stops and bring out all the shit they had hidden under the carpet. There is no shame left, and they no longer care what people will say… A couple laid completely bare, with all their embarrassments on display. A marriage seen through a huge, indiscreet window.

The theatre audience will be able to witness live all the miseries that couples usually reveal only behind closed doors. Neither of them will allow the other to keep anything back. There are no more secrets, half-truths, or unspoken thoughts, and no room for shame—either their own or anyone else’s… Let them see everything! Because Marga and Jaime are now A Marriage Without Filters. A Marriage Without Filters that the audience will be able to watch through a pane of glass (or a mirror)…
